Job Title: Network Engineer (Junior-Mid Level)
Location: Hybrid, Downtown Chicago (3 days onsite)
Overview:
We are seeking a polished, service-oriented Network Engineer to join our internal networking team. You will be responsible for daily network operations and providing Level 1 Network Operations Center (NOC) support for clients and vendors. This includes monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and working closely with the broader network team on design and provisioning projects. You’ll also assist in network maintenance, disaster recovery testing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance and ensure availability.
- Provide Level 1 NOC support for client and vendor connectivity issues.
- Communicate with end users and manage expectations professionally.
- Conduct scheduled fail-over and disaster recovery testing.
- Assist with network security measures and documentation.
- Support design, deployment, and configuration of network projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in network engineering.
- Experience with Layer 2/3 networking, Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto devices.
- Understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure.
- Experience with multicast and cloud networking is a plus.
- Familiarity with NOC support and network security.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Financial industry experience is a plus.
- Must be local to the Chicagoland area or willing to relocate.
