The ideal candidate will serve as a project team lead, collaborating with department leaders to deliver technology solutions that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a secure, well-managed enterprise environment in Azure.
- Configure and manage the organization's Virtual Network in Azure, establishing core services and enabling Azure integration with existing networks.
- Write automation scripts for deploying resource stacks and configurations.
- Utilize native Azure services to meet technology and resiliency requirements.
- Drive strategies for identity, access, configuration management, and monitoring within Azure.
- Lead the design of network connectivity solutions to Azure.
- Extend standard systems management processes into the cloud, including change, incident, and problem management.
- Implement and manage monitoring and infrastructure tools for availability and performance.
- Create internal pricing models for Azure virtual machines and manage instance selection.
- Integrate Azure management tools with existing systems, automating processes like spin-up/spin-down and billing approvals.
- Design and implement data protection strategies, including high availability (HA) and business continuity planning (BCP) in Azure.
- Lead the design and execution of disaster recovery solutions using Azure cloud systems.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Act as a project management lead and team member on various technology projects.
- Provide Level III and Level IV technical support for employees in Charlotte.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments, including IaaS and PaaS.
- Hands-on experience with the Azure administration portal.
- Microsoft Azure Certification (MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or equivalent).
- Familiarity with at least one other cloud hosting solution (e.g., Google, AWS, Helion Cloud, SoftLayer).
- Experience deploying enterprise core services and supporting cloud deployments.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team to meet common objectives.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in IT.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Experience in Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery planning.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
