Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Dell and HP networks.
- Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices.
- Perform network cabling, ensuring connectivity and troubleshooting network issues.
- Provide support for VMware environments, managing virtual servers and infrastructure.
- Handle firewall configuration and management for enhanced security.
- Perform occasional desktop support tasks, assisting end-users as needed.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager to plan and implement IT projects.
- Maintain a high level of system security, perform backups, and monitor overall network health.
- Handle software installations, updates, and hardware maintenance as required.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in network and systems administration.
- Hands-on experience with Dell and HP network infrastructure.
- Proficient in managing firewalls (configuration and troubleshooting).
- Experience with VMware for server virtualization.
- Strong understanding of routing and switching, including hands-on experience with network devices.
- Ability to handle basic desktop support, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of network cabling and infrastructure maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to network/system management.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with security best practices, backup management, and disaster recovery.
- Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
