A North Carolina government department is hiring for a VMware/Migrations Specialist! This remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, with very infrequent onsite responsibilities. The department is leveraging a hybrid cloud infrastructure, primarily based on AWS with some Azure components, to support innovative upcoming projects. This is a contract position with potential long-term engagements depending on project needs.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience with VMware, including vSphere and vCenter.
- Proven expertise in migrations, including server, application, and data migrations.
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with Azure cloud environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in virtualized and cloud ecosystems.
- Effective communication and documentation abilities.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Certifications in VMware (VCP, VCAP) and AWS (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator).
- Experience working in government or highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud setups and multi-cloud strategies.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and tools, such as VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
