The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer with a deep understanding of LLMs, machine learning frameworks, and cloud-based infrastructures. You should have a proven track record of working with advanced NLP techniques and large-scale AI systems in production environments. This role is fully remote but heavily prefers East Coast candidates.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years of experience working in machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) with a focus on large language models (LLMs).
  • Expertise in LLM architectures and frameworks such as GPT, BERT, T5, RoBERTa, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Python and popular machine learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers).
  • Solid experience with model training and fine-tuning LLMs, including large-scale datasets and cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI models to production environments and managing model lifecycle in real-time systems.
  • Strong understanding of NLP techniques such as text generation, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and text summarization.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) and distributed computing to scale model training and deployment.
  • Proven experience with model evaluation, debugging, performance optimization, and ensuring robustness of AI models.

Preferred Experience

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field.
  • Experience with reinforcement learning or multi-modal AI systems.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, ethical AI, and bias mitigation in AI systems.
  • Familiarity with streaming platforms, content recommendation systems, or related technologies is a plus.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy large language models (LLMs) for various applications such as content recommendations, search functionality, chatbots, and personalized user experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver innovative AI-driven features.
  • Optimize and fine-tune pre-trained LLMs (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5, etc.) for specific use cases and high-performance environments.
  • Leverage modern machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face) to build and improve NLP models.
  • Contribute to the research and development of new LLM techniques and approaches that can be applied to streaming and content personalization.
