What You Will Be Doing:
- you will join an operations and maintenance program in support of the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
- In this role, you'll work with a team of engineers and non-technical customers to manage Cloud solutions (Azure), provide operational activities based on best practices and tailored to the clients’ needs, applications, and infrastructure, and leverage a strong understanding of application, server, network security, and government requirements such as FISMA and FedRAMP.
- The role will also provide the business-level input necessary for the customer to maximize the benefit of the cloud environment. All in all, you should bring a solid architecture background with experience conceptualizing and strategizing Cloud solutions.

- Demonstrate professional competence in the principles and practices of Cloud architectures.
- Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends, including professional experience architecting and operating solutions built on Azure.
- Experience assessing, planning, designing, and migrating/transforming legacy applications to the Cloud.
- Experience with software development tools, web services, methodologies, and practices like DevOps, DevSecOPs and CI/CD tool chains (i.e. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, TerraForm).
- Experience with High-Availability, Fault Tolerance, Scalability, Database Concepts, System and Software.
- Understanding of application, server, and network security and government requirements such as FISMA/FedRAMP.
- Direct experience in an enterprise large-scale hosted computing environment.
- Experience with hybrid Cloud environments.
- Must possess strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated experience working with senior-level stakeholders.
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to less technical audiences is critical.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Must be able to work in a matrix organization.
- Must be able to articulate cloud technologies and approaches to all levels of customer and contractor personnel.
- Any one of the Azure certifications - Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect and/or Microsoft Solutions Architect preferred
- Experience with Agile development tools (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint).
- Experience with OnPrem to Cloud Microsoft environment migrations and transformations.
- Familiarity with the government Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and associated documentation of the security control assessment preformed on Cloud resources.
