Senior IT Cyber Security Engineer/Architect 

Top work/life balance company in Atlanta is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer/Architect to work 100% onsite in Sandy Springs. 

Long term contract role.

We’re hiring a Senior IT Security Engineer/Architect to lead enterprise security efforts on a contract basis. If you're passionate about designing secure architectures, defending networks, and driving security strategy—this role is for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Architect and implement robust IT security solutions

  • Lead risk assessments, pen testing & incident response

  • Optimize tools like Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Azure AD, Palo Alto firewalls

  • Collaborate across teams to embed security best practices

  • Guide security policy development & awareness training

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT security (engineering/architecture)

  • Certifications like CISSP, CEH, or CISM are a big plus

  • Expertise with cloud & on-prem security (Microsoft 365, Azure, SCCM, VPNs, MFA)

  • Strong understanding of NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.
