Senior Linux Automation Engineer

We are seeking a talented Linux Automation Engineer to join our client’s team of about 5-6 Engineers.
This role involves designing, implementing, and managing automated systems that enhance operational efficiency and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux systems and experience with automation tools and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools for Linux environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automated systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for scalability and reliability.
  • Document automation processes and maintain up-to-date system configurations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Linux and automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or Automation Engineer.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl).
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., RHCE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
