We are working with a software company based in Newton, MA looking to add a Senior Data Engineer to their team. They are focused on developing a cutting-edge cloud-based customer loyalty program tailored for restaurants and convenience stores. The ideal candidate will have experience with SQL, ETL processes, Snowflake, Python, and Airflow, enabling them to create and maintain efficient data pipelines. You will work closely with data science and analytics teams to ensure the smooth flow of data, contributing to the development of insights that drive customer engagement and retention for our clients.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation
  • Experience with ETL processes for data integration
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Python for scripting and automation
  • Familiarity with Airflow for workflow orchestration
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance

What You Will Be Doing

  • Designing, building, and maintaining efficient data pipelines
  • Managing and optimizing the ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and timeliness
  • Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs
  • Working with cloud platforms like Snowflake to manage and store large datasets
  • Automating data workflows using tools like Python and Airflow
