They are dedicated to ensuring seamless, reliable connectivity for critical communication systems.

Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled Lead PHP Engineer to join their device monitoring team. In this role, you’ll take charge of developing and maintaining systems that ensure the performance and reliability of network devices used in high-stakes environments. You’ll be working with a team of talented engineers, driving technical direction, and implementing solutions with PHP, Linux, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Experience with Rust is a plus, as they incorporate it into parts of their technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of PHP engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for device monitoring systems.
  • Design, develop, and optimize back-end infrastructure to support high-volume data handling and real-time monitoring.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
  • Work with Linux environments, leveraging MySQL and PostgreSQL databases for robust data management.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and lead the implementation of new technologies in the stack, with a focus on stability and scalability.
  • Utilize experience with Rust (optional) to improve and maintain specific system components.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in PHP development, with strong expertise in back-end architecture and design.
  • Proficiency in Linux, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Prior experience in telecommunications or network monitoring environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work with high data volumes and familiarity with best practices for system optimization and monitoring.
  • Experience with Rust is a bonus, though not required.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of mentoring and leading development teams.
