Our established client, located in Northeast Metro Atlanta is a forward thinking and dynamic organization dedicated to serving the public sector, is seeking a Senior Technical Coordinator for a long-term contract opportunity.
In search of an Information Security Technical Coordinator who will be responsible for providing guidance, consultation, assistance, and troubleshooting to complex Information Security requests addressed to them. This position will actively plan and monitor the implementation of complex security projects including the migration of our domain from .com to .gov, and coordinate and manage the migration of enterprise applications to the cloud.
This role will liaise with internal teams and third-party vendors to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives and act as the point of contact and communication, relaying project status information to relevant parties and resolving any issues that may arise during the project. The selected candidate will benefit from knowledge of cloud computing, virtual infrastructure, software, and successfully having project-managed multiple implementations with migration experience to completion. This position will report directly to the Cybersecurity Division.
Contract Duration: 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject such as Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Three years of progressively responsible, professional level security and/or compliance experience in a large scale Information Technology environment
- Ability to maintain an elevated level of expertise and knowledge in Information Security and technology developments.
- Clear understanding of the key concepts related to Project Management
- Ability to execute an action plan.
- Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
- Ability to communicate both written and oral with strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- PMP, CISM, or similar certification
- Minimum of 3 years progressive related experience in either a project management role or process improvement related role.
- Experience leading and supporting highly technical teams.
- Experience leading technical implementations completed by third-party vendor(s).
- Ability to work on tight deadlines.
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
- Work closely with managers, supervisors, and project teams to ensure projects are on track with timelines, deadlines.
- Supervise current projects and coordinate all closure activities that require management’s approval.
- Organize, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings.
- Document and follow up on important actions and decision from meetings.
- Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
- Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
- Create and manage a project schedule to ensure completeness of tasks.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
- Undertake project tasks as required.
- Facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
