A leading provider of innovative technology solutions is seeking a skilled VMware/Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the ongoing success of the business. 

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing VMware environments, focusing on vSphere, vCenter, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of the virtual environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere and vCenter environments.
  • Implement and support VDI solutions, ensuring seamless user experience and performance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot virtual infrastructure to optimize resource utilization.
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing for virtual machines.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning of virtual environments.
  • Maintain documentation related to configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to VMware technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with VMware technologies (vSphere, vCenter).
  • Strong understanding of VDI solutions (e.g., VMware Horizon).
  • Experience with storage, networking, and backup solutions in a virtual environment.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
  • Relevant VMware certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP) are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
