UX/UI Developer

Our client, an American energy company, is actively looking for a UX/UI Developer to join their UX/UI development team! This role is fully remote.

***This is a 6 month initial contract position with the opportunity to extend or convert***

This UX/UI Developer will develop user interfaces for websites including mobile from the ground up. The ideal candidate will understand the intricacies of cross-browser development and knows how to build simple interfaces by writing maintainable HTML, CSS, and advanced Javascript! Responsibilities

• Develop mobile and cross-browser compatible responsive front end interfaces using: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Jquery and frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation
• Design and develop solutions using a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
• Design, code the markup, conduct user testing, and perform other user-facing activities to validate the design and interaction
• Lead new user interface designs through the full design and development cycle (including concepts, information architecture, visual design, and interaction design)
• Create and apply brand frameworks within product lines and across the entire portfolio, ensuring a cohesive brand experience for customers
• Create, maintain, and improve a Standard Style Guide and interaction pattern library for the team

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field and/or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of hands-on front end/UXUI development experience
• Expert literacy in front end development (particularly around responsive design, designing across multiple channels and browser types)
• Strong experience writing standards-compliant front end code for websites, web applications, and mobile solutions using HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Hands-on experience with AngularJS, NodeJS, AJAX, REST, JSON, AND XML
• Must have a strong portfolio of work showing experience developing standards-compliant front end code for marketing websites, web applications, and/or mobile experiences
