A financial research firm located in Connecticut is seeking a Managing Director of Equity Research to lead an equity research team and drive the development of research products and services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in equity research, management, and a proven track record of success in the industry.
This is a Managing Director position with a partner track, and the ideal candidate will likely have 7+ years of experience on the buyside, sellside, and/or within industry. They must have strong modeling, valuation, and critical thinking skills. They will be responsible for overseeing the equity research process, ensuring the quality of research, and managing a team of equity analysts.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in equity research, including experience managing a team of analysts.
- Strong understanding of equity markets and securities analysis.
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry contacts.
What You Will Be Doing:
Daily Responsibilities:
- 50% managing and mentoring equity research team
- 30% conducting equity research and analysis
- 20% collaborating with other teams and cultivating client relationships
