Senior Network Engineer

Our client, a Texas-based financial organization, is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join their datacenter focused team. They have a lot of exciting projects coming down the pipeline so they need someone with expertise in Cisco NextGen products and spine-and-leaf architecture to help with the rebuild of one of their datacenters. The ideal candidate is no stranger to working in large scale datacenter environments, doing everything from route and switch to firewall build outs. Having experience building out or working with VXLAN is needed as they continue to move to a more spine-leaf architecture. Tech wise, they need someone skilled with Cisco Nexus, Nexus Dashboard, VXLAN, LAN/WAN, and Firepower firewalls. Having a CCNP or CCDP is nice to have, if you don’t have one must be willing to obtain within a two-year period. This is a direct hire role, hybrid (2 days onsite) out of Dallas, Texas – must be willing to travel occasionally to the Houston or Austin area. Compensation is $120-130K. Required Skills & Experience

• Experience working in a spine-and-leaf datacenter, working with Cisco VXLAN.
• Experience working with Cisco Nexus and Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller.
• Experience maintaining Firepower firewalls in a large environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Holding a CCNP/CCDP or willingness to obtain one in two years.

• Bachelors or masters in related field.
