The role will focus heavily on Palo Alto hardware and software, and you will play a key role in the architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of network security solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the deployment and management of Palo Alto network security infrastructure and applications.
- Support network security modernization efforts, focusing on both IT and OT environments.
- Investigate and remediate network security incidents, working closely with IT teams to resolve issues both during and after business hours.
- Drive the implementation of new and upgraded network and security infrastructure, supporting Zero Trust, Microsegmentation, and modern WAN architecture.
- Develop and maintain network security architecture standards, ensuring alignment across various projects.
- Assist with regulatory compliance initiatives and security assessments to evaluate vulnerabilities and risks.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network security processes and configurations.
- Streamline security operations to allow team members to focus on more complex, strategic tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in configuring, designing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto hardware and software applications.
- Strong background in securing hybrid and public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Advanced expertise in network security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies).
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Experience with security log monitoring and analysis.
- Solid understanding of cloud security risks and cybersecurity attack patterns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as PCNSE, PCCSE, CCNA, CCNP Sec, CISSP, GCIH.
- Experience with network and security architecture design.
- Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks like ATT&CK, NIST CSF, Cyber Kill Chain.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as PCI, ISO, DFARS, ITAR, NIST, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
