What you will be doing as OSP Site Inspector
- Making sure NESC codes are being followed
- Provide daily updates on progress of site to Inspection lead, by taking pictures and making notes on drawings
- Making sure Traffic Control is properly configured
- Make sure fiber and electrical runs are up to NESC codes (does not have to be proficient)
- Inspect Wooden Pole Ground line for policy adherence.
- Making sure the appropriate permits are in place
- Inspect materials, equipment, and workmanship to verify quality and adherence to industry standards.Adherence to safety regulations and practices, including OSHA standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- 3+ years’ experience inspecting job site to NESC standards
- 3+ years working knowledge of OSP Construction standards
- 4+ years experience holding crews to standards in an Aerial Cable work site IE; span lengths, sag and tension, proper PPE
- A valid driver's license, needed to drive in between job sites
- Must have an active OSHUA 30 certification before working on-site
- Microsoft Excel or Outlook 2013 or newer
- Comfortable in webpage browsing and internet usage
