The Role:
They are seeking a Principal Backend Node Engineer to help architect and scale their growing platform. As a key technical leader, you will need a deep understanding of system architecture and distributed systems, ensuring the platform can scale seamlessly from millions to tens of millions of users.
This role requires a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on engineering, working closely with a collaborative team to tackle complex technical challenges while ensuring the platform’s reliability and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and optimize backend systems for large-scale user growth (e.g., scaling from 2M to 10M users).
- Lead and mentor the engineering team in backend development best practices.
- Design and implement distributed systems to support a highly dynamic user base.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks to enhance user experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in Node.js and backend architecture for distributed systems.
- Proven ability to scale platforms effectively and efficiently.
- Experience leading teams or projects through rapid growth and scaling phases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
