A robotics company in downtown Boston is looking for a Java / Kotlin software engineer for a 6-12 month contract. You’ll be working in their R+D group that builds new simulation concepts and 3D worlds for robotics simulation. You’ll also get to build web based software used for their fleet-level simulation. This role will require you ONSITE 3 days a week in their downtown Boston office. To succeed in this role you’ll need 5+ years working on scalable web based Java/Kotlin applications. Simulation software experience isn’t needed but highly preferred. For this position, you will be a W2 consultant with full benefits. This client CANNOT support C2C engagements. Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of building scalable Java based web applications
- 2+ years of Kotlin experience
- Ability to write clean object oriented code
- CI/CD experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- CURRENTLY located in the Greater Boston area
- Experience building 3D simulation models
- Robotics software simulation
- Experience working in an AWS hosted environment
- Spring Boot experience
- 100% hands on software development
